Gold open faced pocket watch

A very fine English gold and enamel pearl-set consular cased pocket watch, circa 1800. Full plate gilt-brass movement with finely pierced and engraved balance cock decorated with acanthus scrolls and flora, diamond end stone, silver regulation, English lever escapement and fusee.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals bordered by a minute track, winding square in the dial at 4 o’clock and gilt Breguet hands.
The case with blue guilloché enamelling to the bezel and the back bordered by split pearls, movement signed Ja.s Tregent Watchmaker to the Prince of Wales.
