Gold and champlevé enamel pocket watch

A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold and champlevé enamel pocket watch made for the Middle Eastern market, circa 1830. A scalloped border with twelve lobes, decorated with red, blue, white, pink and green enamel, the bezel, pendant and bow decorated to match. Gold, engine-turned dial, with radial champleve Roman numerals on a plain reserve, outer minute divisions and blued steel spade hands. A hinged gilt, full plate movement with column pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved cock. Cuvette numbered.
