Heavy pocket watch with chronometer escapement

A heavy, extremely fine pocket chronometer with chain fusee, made circa 1860. The plain open faced case of this watch has a solid silver case with gold hinges. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock with Arabic numerals and filigree gold hands. The movement has a fine pivoted detent chronometer escapement with chain fusee, screwed gold chatons and a helical hairspring.
Case and dial have matching numbers and the dial is engraved Chronometre.
