Gold lever watch for the Chinese market

A fine Swiss 14K gold painted on enamel, pearl-set hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1910. Minute repeater with chronograph Charming Lady by Maurice Ditisheim, La Chaux de Fonds, made for the Chinese market. Both case covers in translucent red enamel over a spinning engine turning; the front cover is painted with a portrait of a young lady in a blue dress, the back with roses on an opalescent ground, pearl set bezels. Hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths with radial Arabic five seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. Frosted gilt movement, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, steel chronograph work mounted on the back plate, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Cuvette signed in Chinese characters, case numbered.
