A very fine Swiss, platinum keyless minute repeating dress watch, circa 1910. In an original fitted box accompanied by a platinum chain. Made for J.E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia. The case is decorated with a monogrammed back, platinum hinged cuvette. Matte silver dial, applied yellow gold Breguet numerals, outer minute dot divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gold Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometric regulator, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band. Signed on dial, case and movement.
