An exquisite gold and enamel verge watch with quarter repeater à toc , made by Vauchez, à Paris, France, circa 1800. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and enamel and features a ring of large oriental pearls on both sides and a high quality enamel with paillons and a kind of fake pearls on a dark blue guilloché enamel background. The white enamel dial features Arabic hour numerals and outer minute track gold hands and the numbered movement has a verge escapement and an à toc quarter repeater.
The dial and movement are signed.
