A heavy gold hunter cased watch with minute repeater and chronograph, made by Maison Breguet in Paris, France, circa 1894. This watch features a numbered à goutte (waterdrop shape) full hunter case, a monogram on the front lid and a cuvette with a dedication “My dear husband New Year’s Day 1894”. The enamel dial features an outer Chronograph Track with a specialised scale graduated from 0 to 60 (with sub divisions measuring fractions of a second), a minute and hour track with an Arabic 5 minute division, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The extremely fine movement is fitted with a highly complicated precision lever escapement, a minute repeater and a chronograph.
