A French 18 carat gold open faced pocket watch with date, circa 1795. Gilt full plate movement, plain three-arm balance, Pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, silver regulator disc with blued steel indicator.
White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, outer minute track, gold beetle and poker hands and gold date hand. Polished case. Dial and movement signed Berthoud a Paris.
