An Art Deco rarity this square pocket watch made by Cartier in Paris, France, circa 1925. The open faced case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat white gold, is enamelled to resemble lapis lazuli, has the French punch and its crown is set with a sapphire. The typical silvered Cartier dial has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track and Art Deco steel hands, the super thin numbered movement with precision lever escapement comes from the Inter Watch Co. in Genève.
Dial and movement are signed.
