A French exquisite 18K gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1780.
The case back with a polychrome enamel classical scene on a translucent brown enamel ground depicting a woman next to a column with two doves surrounded by flowers and foliage, blue and yellow enamel outer rim with white enamel pearls, both bezels engraved. White signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals and decorative original hands. Verge movement. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered.
