An extremely fine French Gustave Sandoz precision pocket watch with minute repeater, circa 1890. This timepiece showcases an 18K gold à-goutte case with an engine-turned pattern. The back of the case features an enamelled monogram and is signed by Gustave Sandoz, the renowned Horloger de la Marine in Paris. The watch is numbered. It houses a precision lever movement and boasts a minute repeater function. The dial is beautifully preserved and adorned with enamel. It displays Roman radial hours, an outer minutes track with Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, and elegant pink gold hands. The timepiece comes with its original box.
