A very fine English, 18K yellow, white and pink gold pocket watch, circa 1850. Made for the South American market. The back with sunburst engraving, a vacant shield in the centre, borders engraved with foliage, band chased and engraved. Champagne dial with applied Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, centre in applied gold floral decoration. Black Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, plain three-arm balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
