A fine French, 18K gold and enamel scallop shell form pendant watch with a concealed dial, circa 1800. A shell-shaped case, spring-loaded front cover reveals the dial, both sides identically decorated with blue, black and yellow enamel, fixed suspension ring. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel feuille hands.
A hinged, gilt brass movement, full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock pierced and engraved, polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial.
