A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch from the mid 19th century. It has a mechanical movement with a cylinder escapement. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, and steel hands in the Louis XV style. The 18 carat yellow gold case features an engine turned pattern on the back, centering an unengraved cartouche. The caseband is finely fluted. The watch is wound by a spherical crown.
