A fine French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a high grade nickel mechanical crown winding movement with a straightline lever escapement, 21 jewels, visible pallets, a cut compensation balance wheel, counter pivots, and a Breguet hairspring. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and ornate gold hands.

The timepiece is housed in a round, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. It has an engine turned reverse back cover with a central vacant cartouche framed by floral scrollwork, a fluted winding crown with a pin set hand adjuster at 11 o’clock, a round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette finely engraved with technical specifications Ancre / Ligne Droite / 21 Rubis / Spire Breguet / Levées Visibles / Balancier Coupé / Contre pivots / Nickel / Remontoir.
