A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Legender in Provins, circa 1919. This watch features a mechanical movement with lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary Arabic seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and spade hands. The 18 carat yellow gold case has a caseback engraved with the MA monogram. It is numbered, signed Legendre à Provins, and fitted with a metal clasp and winder. It is also marked: the Société Générale des Monteurs de Boîtes Besançon.
