The European Watch and Clock Co. French-Swiss watch manufacturer
Incorporated began in the 1920s as a joint venture between Cartier and Edmond Jaeger of the Jaeger-LeCoultre watch factory. Although Cartier continued to collaborate with other watch movement manufacturers such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Movado, many of their top items featured European Watch & Clock Company movements made at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s factory in Le Sentier, Switzerland. The watch cases were made in Paris, Geneva, London and New York, and each branch was responsible for producing its wristwatches. However, the French branch exported their watches to other stores.
