Marine chronometer in mahogany box with slide and window

A marine deck chronometer made by Breguet in Paris, France, circa 1839. The open faced brass case is mounted with a gimbal suspension in the original mahogany box with slide and window. The numbered original silvered dial has  off center time display, a large seconds display and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has a Breguet chronometer escapement with helical hairspring and an original balance.
The dial is signed.
