Very large Gilt-brass verge watch

A gilt-brass clock watch with alarm circa. 1690. Gilt-brass movement, verge escapement with plain three-arm balance and hair spring with regulation slide, pierced foliate balance cock, baluster pillars, the striking train with pierced standing barrel, steel count wheel with pierced, engraved and numbered cock and with blued steel indicator, pierced blued steel striking gate, the alarm train with pierced standing barrel, 3½-inch silver dial with floral border, the centre engraved with a river scene, hands replaced, later gilt brass pierced and engraved case with stylised foliate decoration, signed on the backplate Bonbruict A Blois.
