Varicoloured gold and enamelled cased, with grisaille portrait, movement with verge escapement by Vauchez, Paris, circa 1780. The back of this sophisticated verge pocket watch is decorated with an oval medallion showing the miniature portrait of a young female on a dark bleu enamel background. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals for the hours, decorative gold hands. Full plate movement, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance.
