Gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond pocket watch

A very fine French, 18k gold, enamel and rose-cut past-set diamond pocket watch, circa 1780. Reverse with royal blue enamel over engine-turning, outer paste-set the bezel to front and reverse numbered bow. White enamel dial, black Roman numerals, outer minutes with quarter numerals, winding aperture at 2. Gold spade hands. A hinged, gilt full-plate movement with tapered cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental cock with metal end-piece, regulator dial. Signed on the movement and dial.
