A fine French 18 carat gold hunting cased chronograph lever pocket watch made for the English market, circa 1882. Bridge movement, a club-tooth lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance, gold-chatoned centre wheel, wolf teeth winding wheels and an S-shaped special counterpoised lever. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, outermost fifths of a second chronograph divisions calibrated to 300 units, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and spade & whip hands. A plain case. Cuvette signed.
