A very fine gold enamel verge pocket watch, circa 1800. 18k gold case, the back cover costly engine turned and translucent cobalt blue enamelled with inlaid gilt foliate decor, the edge on front and back side set with half pearls, blue and white enamelled pendant. Dial is enamel, radial Roman hours, spade hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, blued screws, round movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, fine florally engraved balance bridge, large silver regulator disc.
