An excellent, hardly used French verge pocket watch with elaborate case decoration in three colours, circa 1780.
Multi-coloured 18K gold case, red gold, green gold, and white gold, elaborately engine-turned and decorated with half gold balls, on the oval back relief with basket, quiver, birds and sunbeams. Signed spindle mechanism. Rare, signed enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes track with red Arabic five minutes numerals, red signature, and red gold Louis XV-style hands. Case in almost unused condition.
