Pink gold, diamond watch with chain

A very fine, 18K pink gold hunting-cased Swiss, diamond-set keyless lady’s pendant watch, circa 1889. Suspended from a diamond-set chain. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Made for C. Fredenhagen, Agent Général, Buenos Aires, in 1889, sold on September 14th, 1889. The front cover paves set with 84 old-mine cut diamonds and a border of rose-cut diamonds, a large round diamond in the centre. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals and outer minute track. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, eight jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, cylinder escapement, plain gold three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, cuvette and movement signed.
