–
A rare and large French gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1811. This exquisite pocket watch showcases an 18 carat pink gold polished case with a pull-twist pusher for the repeater function positioned at three on the dial. The dial is adorned with intricate engine-turned engraving and is made of gold, bearing the maker’s signature. It features radial Roman numerals and elegant blued Breguet hands. The watch’s movement is a bridge movement, keywind, frosted, and gilt. It incorporates a parachute shock protection mechanism, a ruby cylinder escapement, a steel escape wheel, a three-arm brass balance, and a flat-blued balance spring with temperature compensation.
