A fine and rare French silver, oval pocket watch with date and skeletonized movement, circa 1790. Gilt brass movement with cylindrical pillars, skeletonized back plate pierced with scrolls and flowerheads, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, continental balance cock foliate pierced with the name Glaesner , index regulator.
Polished oval case, reeded band.
White enamel dial, oval, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals, inner calendar ring. Gold fancy pierced hands. Dial and movement signed.
