Gold open faced pocket watch by Breguet & Fils

A French gentleman’s very fine quarter repeating and jumping hour pocket watch, circa 1814.
18 carat rose gold, engine turned, à goutte case, with engine turned band, signed gold dome, pusher for repetition via pendant and case maker punch mark “LD”. Enamel dial with Breguet numerals, auxiliary seconds at “3”, secret signature below “12” and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with 2 hammers, 2 gongs, ruby cylinder, ring balance, temperature compensated balance spring and shock protection-“parachute”.
