A German hour striking coach clock with hour repeater and alarm of museum quality, circa 1770.
Signed, fire gilt full plate movement with chain/fusee, pentagonal baluster movement pillars, two florally engraved barrels for striking- and alarm train, two hammers, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, and florally engraved and pierced balance bridge. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, central blued alarm hand, and pink gilt hands. Silver case, with mother-of-pearl inlay on the geometrical pattern, rear bell, florally engraved soundholes, chain for repetition, and large outer hinge.

Weyer was born in Danzig around 1727. He was apprenticed with Johann Heinrich Wiegendorff in 1749. Weyer died in 1805.
