Extremely rare coach clock by Nomis Leir (Simon Riel)

An important, extremely rare German coach clock with Grande Sonnerie, quarter repeating mechanism, alarm and date, circa 1770.
Silver, repoussé case with a depiction of a gallant scenery, rear bell, pusher for repetition, case maker’s punch mark CFI and a large lateral hinge. Enamel, en bosse dial with Roman radial hours, Arabic numerals on central alarm disc, central date ring and pierced gilt hands. Full plate movement, signed, gilt, chain/fusee, conical movement pillars, three florally engraved barrels for striking and alarm train, four hammers, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, engraved and pierced balance bridge.
