Pocket watch with split seconds and counter

A rare pocket chronometer with split seconds, counter and original box, made by Breguet et fils in Paris, France circa  1915. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from silver and features a monogram on the otherwise plain back lid and the case maker’s punch AD. The white enamel dial has a red and blue scale, a 30 minute counter, Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and split seconds. The movement has a very fine quality anker chronometer and a split seconds chronograph.
The box and cuvette have matching numbers, the box and back lid have matching monograms and the cuvette and box are signed.

These Breguet pocket chronometers are exceptionally rare, especially with the split seconds complication. A white gold anker chronometer by Breguet was sold for an exceptionally high price.
