A French 18K yellow gold and enamel, minute repeating keyless dress pocket watch, circa 1915. The back is centred with the inscription Kirby on a dark blue champleve enamelled ground, within a white champleve enamel line border. Matted silver dial with champleve Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial signed, case numbered.
