A French yellow gold quarter repeating open faced watch circa 1800, sold in 1806 to the duke of newcastle, gilt movement, underslung ruby cylinder, plain brass three arm balance, bimetallic compensation balance, parachute protection curb, repeating on two blued steel gongs, signed and numbered.
Enamel dial, gilt Arabic numerals, secret signature under 12 o’clock, plain polished case, numbered  and stamped initials by Tavernier and stamped B1899, dial and cuvette signed.
