Bakelite deck chronometer 
–
A rare marine chronometer with navy deployment number made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1943. This chronometer has a bakelite case and is fitted in a numbered wooden box with gimbal suspension. The numbered white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 12 and brass spade hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a spring detent escapement.
The dial and movement have matching numbers and are signed.
