Pink gold watch retailed by Le Palais Royal-Habana

A very fine Swiss 18 Carat pink gold keyless lever chronometer dress pocket watch, circa 1941. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Retailed by Le Palais Royal-Habana, sold on June 27th, 1942. A polished case with a U shaped bow. Brushed pink gold dial with applied pink gold baton indexes and Roman quarter hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and pink gold baton hands. A rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, stamped with the seal of Geneva quality mark, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometre regulator.
Dial, case and movement signed, dial also signed by the retailer.

The pink gold case, pink dial and indexes are confirmed by the Extract from the Archives. This colour matching gives the watch a very pleasing monochrome effect. Furthermore, the movement of this watch is punched with the seal of the Geneva mark confirming that it has been tested and found to be of chronometer standard.
