Marine chronometer with cardanic suspension

An interesting, numbered marine deck chronometer with 56 hour power reserve and an extract from the archives made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1952. The original hallmarked and numbered case was crafted from brass and is suspended using a cardanic mechanism in the mahogany box. The numbered silvered dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and 56 hours power reserve indication at 12. The numbered movement has a spring detent chronometer escapement.
Dial, movement and case have matching numbers, and the dial and movement are signed.
