Marine chronometer in mahogany box

A numbered marine chronometer in two cases rare made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte bei Dresden, Germany, circa 1945. The inner mahogany box is numbered and glazed and the brass open faced chronometer case is mounted with a gimbal suspension and has the A. Lange & Söhne maker’s mark. The white enamel dial is numbered, has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock and gold hands. The chronometer movement has a  rare version Glashütte lever escapement, a very large chronometer balance and a device for electric impulse transmission.
Inner box, case and dial have matching numbers and the dial and movement are signed.
