This high quality 1a watch features a 19”’ calibre 43 gilded ¾ plate movement wih a gold lever, and an escape wheel, with some jewels held in screwed gold chatons. The 18 carat gold Lucia case features highly decorative chased and engraved covers. The front is centred with a cartouche that contains a monogram, while the back features a vase of flowers, surrounded by cornucopias, urns, scrolling flowers, foliage, and fruit. The bezels and band showcase repeated foliate and geometrically chased and engraved motifs, heightened with black enamel, and the bow is also decoratively engraved. The handset lever is located beneath the bezel at 4 o’clock. The polished gold cuvette and all covers are stamped A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte. The back cover and cuvette are numbered 30968, while the front cover is numbered 68. The movement is running, but the handsetting lever is not functioning properly and requires adjustment as it is nearly engaging. The dial has a few light scuffs and scratches, particularly on the subsidiary seconds, but is otherwise in generally good condition. The case is in good overall condition with minor scuffs, and the decoration retains its definition well.
