An extremely rare, heavy, double-sided German pocket watch for the Ottoman market with two separate movements and independent centre seconds, circa 1910.
18K gold case, case band inscribed Pour la cadran europeen and Por la cadran turc. Signed European enamel dial with centre seconds and 1/5-seconds division, back with the Ottoman dial. Each with blued steel hands, two independent movements with two balances, lever escapement, and high-quality construction with tandem winding. This watch also has the technical complication of independent centre seconds!
