An important, extremely rare pocket chronometer with spring detent escapement manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1888. Sold in 1888 for the sum of 875 Marks, formerly with rating certificate of the Deutsche Seewarte Hamburg.
An 18-carat rose gold monogrammed case with glazed movement. Signed enamel dial with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the constant seconds, and spade hands. Signed 2/3 plate movement, anti-galop system, chain fusee, and gold screw compensation balance.
