Engine turned pocket watch with lever escapement

A fine, large precision pocket watch, made by the Deutsche Präzisions-Uhrenfabrik Glashütte (S.A.), E.G.M.B.M in Glashütte, Germany, circa 1920. The open faced case was crafted from silver and has gold hinges, has a number that matches the one on the movement, is engine turned on the back. The cuvette is engraved with a dedication “Til Waldemar Madsen paa Jubileumsdagen, 14-6-42, CL” (To Waldemar Madsen on Jubilee Day), which was added later. The stepped white enamel dial has an outer ring for the minutes and hours with black Arabic numerals for the hours, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement has a Glashütte precision lever escapement of quality 1B, screwed gold chatons and a fine adjusting device.
Dial and movement are signed.
