Gold hunting cased pocket watch by A. Lange & Söhne

A very fine, heavy and large Glashütte hunting cased pocket watch – ANKERCHRONOMETER – manufactured in quality 1A, circa 1881.
18 carat gold tiered and polished case with gold dome and glazed movement. Case is not original, later custom made. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. Frosted gilt, signed 3/4 plate movement with screwed gold chatons, large gold screw compensation balance, very finely engraved balance cock, Grossmann’s fine adjusting device with knurled screws and threaded rod, gold lever and escape wheel and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
