A fine German, brass two day marine chronometer with Guillaume integral balance, circa 1960. Marine watch with brass handles, the glazed upper section with applied plaque, brass bowl and gimbaled suspension. Matte silvered dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power reserve indication. Polished brass spade hands. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars secured by screws,
11 jewels, reversed fusee with chain and maintaining power, Earnshaw spring detent escapement with jewelled locking stone, two arm Guillaume Anibal brass integral balance with cylindrical weights and two meantime adjusting nuts, free sprung alloy helical balance spring with terminal curves. Dial and movement signed.
