A German nickel open faced military observation pocket watch with power reserve indicator and A. Lange & Söhne certificate, circa 1944. Sold 31.8.1944 for 261.50 DM. Cal. 48 frosted gilt manual wind lever movement numbered 201111, with cut and compensated bimetallic balance, swan-neck micro regulation.
Silvered dial with printed black Roman numerals and outer minute divisions, blued steel double spade hands, subsidiary dials for running seconds and power reserve. Nickel case with hinged steel dust cover signed, snap-on case back together with a recent A. Lange & Söhne certificate. Dial, case and movement signed.
