A pocket watch with an engine turned case

A precision pocket watch, made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte near Dresden, Germany, circa 1902. The numbered open faced case of this watch, which was crafted from silver, has an engine turned back lid. The white enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has an  A. Lange & Söhne precision lever escapement, a gold lever, a gold escape wheel and a fine adjusting device.
The case and movement have matching numbers and the case, dial and movement are signed.
