An unusual quality 1A early anker chronometer pocket watch, made by Carl Moritz Grossmann in Dresden, Germany,  circa 1865. This watch has a high quality numbered case crafted from silver with gold hinges and its white enamel dial features Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and fine steel hands, The numbered, key wound movement has an early anker chronometer escapement, a large balance with gold screws and screwed gold chatons.
The case and movement have matching numbers and the dial and movement are signed.
