A rare German gold pair cased striking pocket watch with repoussé decoration made by Heinze in Zwickau, circa 1750. The watch features a verge movement with a striking mechanism and a steel bell inside the case. It has a gilded dial with applied Roman hours, an arcaded minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and blued steel hands. The case has a repoussé design, depicting a knight in armour wounding a winged dragon. It also includes a pierced, chased and engraved dust cover and cock. The movement, dust cover and dial are all signed.
