Gold and enamel unsigned hunting cased form watch

A fine and rare, gold and enamel, key-winding, form pocket watch in the shape of a mandolin, circa 1800-1810.
18K yellow gold and enamel case. Case back and cover polychrome enamelled, imitating the body of the musical instrument in a range of blue colours. Concealed white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Full plate, gilded brass movement with fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (gilded brass), blued steel flat hairspring, and a pierced and engraved gilded continental cock.
