An unique Swiss 18 carat gold, turquoise, ruby, stones and applied varicoloured gold foliage form watch, circa 1820. Designed as a lyre with visible balance. The lyre is decorated with turquoise, ruby and applied varicoloured gold foliage and flowers. Small, gold dial, with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, centre engine turned in wickerwork pattern, set on wickerwork pattern gold dial plate and blued steel Breguet hands. A hinged, gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, continental cock.
