Gold half-hunting cased keyless pocket watch

A very fine German, 18K gold and enamel, half-hunting cased, keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. Spring Bouquet by Julius Assmann, Dresden. Made the for South American market. Chased shell and flower band and borders, the back cover chased and engraved with leaves, flowers and geometric patterns, similarly decorated hinged and sprung front cover with Royal blue guilloché enamel chapter ring with white radial Roman numerals. Hinged gold cuvette.

Silver dial, radial gothic Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, centre and an outermost border decorated with applied gold floral motifs. A nickel-silver movement, three-quarter plate, 20 jewels in gold chatons, straight-line Glashütte type lever escapement with gold pallet fork and escape wheel, cut Glashütte bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, diamond endstone, index regulator. Cuvette and movement signed.
